Congresses of South Caucasian Oncologists (SCO) brings together the leaders in the fight to control cancer from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
   The SCO congresses are the international educational and scientific event in the oncology communities. It provides the largest ever multidisciplinary forum for discussing the entire spectrum of cancer research and management.
   The goal of the congresses is to foster communication among oncology-related subspecialties and the exchange of a wide range of ideas to cancer. The objectives of organizers are to advance the education of physicians and other professionals caring for cancer patients, to support the development of cancer research, and to facilitate the delivery of high-quality health care to cancer patients.
   The SCO congresses are targeted to medical and surgical oncologists, urological, paediatric and psychosocial oncologists, radiologists, pharmacologists, clinical oncology researchers, epidemiologists, data and public health managers, other health-care professionals involved in multidisciplinary clinical cancer care.
   The first SCO congress was held in Tbilisi in 1998.
